About Our Program in 2010In 2010 the Lightning Baseball travel schedule will continue to be one of the most aggressive and challenging in the history of the program at every age level. Lightning Baseball is fortunate to receive invitations to the top events in the country. Our teams face the top travel programs in the country and in some cases the world, in these high exposure, extremely competitive events. Although our teams can not participate in every event, the program has made an enormous commitment to travel, far more than most other development programs of our kind. Meanwhile, the 13U and 14U teams will play in a combination of Northeast Baseball Alliance (NEBA) competition, New England Super travel team competitions, as well as the most prestigious national tournaments. Developmental Philosophy & Objectives
Lightning Baseball is not an AAU program or any other sole association affiliate. It is a program that seeks keen opponents and a broad range of competitive opportunities in the context of multi-association play. We are committed to advancing the development of our players much like a school curriculum. Each year builds on the prior year’s experiences, developmental foundations, and principles. We are committed to non-parent, professional coaching and instruction for all our teams. We do not permit parent coaches or assistants. We are founded on this principle and we ask parents to support our goal to have each player become his own advocate on the baseball field. Lightning Baseball travel baseball program is dedicated to the development of its players. We tell our players that if they want to find out how good they are, we will put them in front of the best competition, wherever that takes us. Lightning Baseball helped produce
