2008 Boston Globe Players of the Year in Division 1
(Scott Weismann/Acton-Boxborough High School)
and Division 3 (Tim Holland/Georgetown High School)
as well as Globe All-Scholastic Bobby Dean/Danvers High School
and the New Hampshire Class I co-players of the year, Ben Hart and Tim Welch
of Portsmouth High School .

Congratulations to Lightning alum Matt Antonelli on making his MLB debut
for the San Diego Padres in 2008. Matt is the second Lightning alumni to reach MLB.
Sam Fuld reached the bigs in 2007 with the Chicago Cubs.
