Win 2003 AAU 13U Mass State Tournament
Lightning Baseball of New England, from Peabody, MA won five straight games in the Massachusetts 13U AAU State Tournament to win the Gold Medal and advance to the AAU National Championship Tournament to be held in Kinston, NC from July 26th to August 2nd.
Lightning Baseball earned the #1 seed in the Mass. State Tournament by finishing in 1st place during the AAU regular season with a 15-1 record.

Lightning Baseball opened the state tournament with a 9-3 win over Team New England (from Merrimack, MA) on Friday night and swept a doubleheader on Saturday with a 4-0 win over the Firebirds (from Andover, MA) and a 6-1 win over the Magic (Peabody, MA). These 3 wins moved the Lightning into Sunday’s Championship round where they defeated America’s Pastimes (from Hudson, MA) 14-4 in the semifinal game. Lightning Baseball won the Gold Medal and State Championship with a 6-1 win over the Hit Dogs from Stoughton, MA.
Lightning Baseball of New England is the premier AAU organization in the United States. We have more top 10 finishes at the National level than all other AAU teams in New England combined and we are the only AAU program in the country that has qualified 13, 14, 15 year old teams for national tournaments for the last 9 years. Lightning Baseball partners with Extra Innings Indoor Training Facility to provide its players with year round training opportunities.
