The 14u Lightning finished 7 th at the 53-team, Division 1 National Tournament in Sarasota, FL.   The team went 7-3 over the week long tournament. Dan McFarland (.452 avg., 10 runs, 15 rbi) and Derek Coppola (.406 avg., 14 runs and 8 rbi) led the offense, while Ben Hart (4-0, 1.75 ERA and 19 strikeouts) and Tim Holland (1-0, 2.19 ERA) led the way on the mound. Along the way, the Lightning beat the eventual silver medalists (Tampa Gators) and won the Sportsmanship Award. For their efforts, Ben Hart and Dan McFarland were named to the All-Tournament team.

The 14u Lightning captured the Gold Medal at the New England Championships with a 12-1 record. Tim Holland, Ben Hart, Pete Kinchley and Scott Weismann were all 3-0 over the 3-week tournament. Alex Miliano (.519 batting avg) led the team in hitting. Tim Holland (17 runs, 15 rbi and 13 steals), Chris Welch (12 rbi, .429 avg) and Dan McFarland (13 runs, 8 rbi) helped pace the offense, which scored 109 runs.
